นิทรรศการ หน้ากาก_อนาคต
นิทรรศการ “หน้ากาก_อนาคต” ถูกจัดตั้งขึ้นเพื่อต้องการรวบรวมแนวคิดเชิงสร้างสรรค์ และพลังการขับเคลื่อนสังคมจากมุมมองของนิสิตนักศึกษารุ่นปัจจุบัน ผ่านการคัดเลือกผลงานในงานประกวดออกแบบหน้ากาก เมื่อปลายปี 2563
ซึ่ง “หน้ากาก” ในนิทรรศการครั้งนี้ได้ถูกนำมาใช้เป็นตัวแทนสัญญะ หรือนิยามที่กำหนดความหมายเชิงคุณค่าในการสรรสร้างสิ่งประดิษฐ์ของมนุษย์ ที่ต้องเผชิญกับสภาวะโลกหลังการเปลี่ยนผ่านครั้งสำคัญ จากอดีตที่สับสนอันนำไปสู่ปัจจุบันที่ไม่มั่นคง เพื่อช่วยกันในการค้นหาเส้นทางหรือทางเลือกให้กับชีวิตความเป็นอยู่ในอนาคตที่กำลังจะถูกกำหนดขึ้นด้วยมุมมองและทัศนคติของคนรุ่นเรา ที่จะส่งผลกระทบต่อไปยัง คนรุ่นหลัง
การเกิดขึ้นของโรคระบาดตั้งแต่ปลายปี 2562 กระทั่งปัจจุบัน ได้บอกกล่าวถึงความเปราะบางของมนุษย์ ทั้งด้านกายภาพ และสภาวะทางจิตใจ อีกทั้งยังเปิดเผยเนื้อแท้ของระบบทุนนิยมที่ล่มสลายในการโอบรับพื้นฐานปัจจัยสี่ที่จำเป็นต่อการดำรงชีพ รวมถึงเชื้อชาติ ชนชั้น ทัศนคติ ศรัทธาและความเชื่อ ซึ่งแบ่งแยกมนุษย์ออกจากมนุษย์ด้วยกันเอง เราจะเรียนรู้ข้อผิดพลาดเพื่อปรับปรุงหนทางของอารยธรรมแห่งมวลมนุษยชาติแบบไหน หรือจะเลือกละเลยและปล่อยให้มันผ่านไปด้วยความเพิกเฉยอย่างที่เราคุ้นเคย
และถึงแม้ว่าสถานการณ์โรคระบาดในบ้านเราดูเหมือนจะกลับไปสู่ความเป็นปกติ แต่ใน “ความปกติใหม่” นี้ ได้ทำให้หลายสิ่งอย่างไม่เหมือนเดิม เมื่อถึงวันที่โลกกลับมาเปิดเสรีอีกครั้ง เราคงจะหันกลับมาระมัดระวังในเชิงปัจเจกมากขึ้น หน้ากากอาจกลายเป็นส่วนเติมเต็มในชีวิตประจำวันของเราไปอีกหลายปีข้างหน้าและไม่ได้เป็นเพียงเครื่องป้องกันหรือเครื่องประดับชั่วครั้งชั่วคราวอีกต่อไป แต่จะแปรเปลี่ยนสถานภาพเป็น “อวัยวะส่วนใหม่” อันหมายถึงสิ่งที่เราขาดไม่ได้ เฉกเช่นเดียวกับการกำเนิดขึ้นของไฟ ที่อยู่อาศัย เครื่องแต่งกาย ยารักษาโรค ไฟฟ้า อุปกรณ์อัจริยะ จนกระทั่งมือถือปุ่มกด ไปเป็น “สมาร์ทโฟน” ซึ่งได้เปลี่ยนแปลงวิถีของมนุษย์ พฤติกรรมการรับรู้ สัญชาตญาณในการเอาตัวรอด และการใช้ชีวิตในสังคมของเราไปตลอดกาล
เราจึงอยากเชิญชวนผู้เข้าชมนิทรรศการ ได้รับชมผลงานของนักศึกษา “ผู้เป็นนักสร้างสรรค์แห่งอนาคต” ที่กำลังเข้ามามีบทบาทในการขับเคลื่อนสังคม ซึ่งได้ร่วมกันค้นหาความน่าจะเป็นของหน้ากากยุคหลังโควิด-19 ผ่านมุมมองการออกแบบที่หลากหลาย ภายใต้หน้ากากที่แสนธรรมดานี้ ซึ่งได้ตีกรอบคุณค่าและอายุขัยของมนุษย์ขึ้นมาใหม่ เราจะกำหนดหรือสร้างทางเลือกที่ดีขึ้นให้กับสังคมได้อย่างไร ศิลปะ การออกแบบ แฟชั่น วิทยาศาตร์ เศรษฐศาสตร์ การแพทย์ การศึกษา การเมืองการปกครอง เทคโนโลยีและนวัตกรรม จะรับใช้หรือให้โอกาสเราในการค้นพบความงดงามของการมีชีวิต ที่จะถูกการขัดเกลาด้วยวิธีคิดเชิงสร้างสรรค์ และนำไปสู่การบันทึกในหน้าประวัติศาสตร์แห่งยุคสมัยที่เราเป็นผู้เล่น เพื่อสร้างอนาคตที่ซื่อตรงต่อลูกหลานของเรา ผ่านสองมือบวกกับความเชื่อที่มีอยู่ในตัวตนของพวกเขาเหล่านี้.

A NEW INTERPRETATION OF FACE WEAR DESIGN Exhibition was established to gather creative ideas, that driven our society from the new generation perspective. Through the selection of works in the student face wear design contest during the end of 2020.
This exhibition, "Mask," has been used as a symbol to define the value and meaning of creating a human invention moving toward a major global transition due to the pandemic. How could we help each other find paths or alternatives to our future? That is about to be shaped by our generation's perspectives and pass to future generations.
The occurrence of epidemics since the end of 2019 until now. Tells the vulnerability of human beings both physical and mental state. It also reveals the true nature of capitalism that collapse to embrace the four requisites to sustain life. Including race, class, attitude, faith and belief which separates humans from one another. What failure can we learn to improve the paths of human civilization? Or do we choose to ignore it and let it pass with the indifference that we are used to.
Although the epidemic situation seems to return to normal, this "new normal" has made many things never be the same. When the world returns to liberty again, we will be more cautious in our individual. Masks could become a daily addition to our lives for years to come and are no longer just temporary protection or jewelry. But will change the status to "New organs." Which means it will become something that we cannot live without. Like the advent of home, fires, costumes, medicines, electricity, and smart devices until the smartphone, it has changed the way human beings' cognitive behavior, survival instinct, and how we live forever.
We want to invite all visitors to see students' work, "The creators of the future," that is coming to play a role in driving society—together seeking the probability of masks in the post-COVID-19 era various design perspectives. Under this simple mask, how can we make better choices for society? Art, Design, Fashion, Science, Economics, Medicine, Education, Politics, Government, Technology and Innovation refining creatively. Will serve and allow us to discover the beauty of life. To build a future that is true to our children with these two hands, combined with their identity beliefs.
